A darned cute Christmas thing...

posted Friday, 16 December 2005

It was all Howdy's idea.  He saw my basket of little balls of leftovers and mentioned that they'd look cute as ornaments on a tree.  He was right, of course!

I love it... so colourful and so indicative of who you are and what you love. You should do it every year (although I don't think that is a good reason to go and buy more yarn)!

I saw a joined scarf in Spin-Off magazine and tried something similar for myself, it worked out well and may work for your Mountain scarf. The the original scarf was knit in the round, with a twist in it before joining the first row. But I decided to just knit as usual, twist then join the ends of a novelty yarn scarf. It is only about 34-30" long & works well as a looped scarf. I like the loop or short scarves because otherwise I tend to "hang" myself getting caught on things. Just a thought. Jessica
