Well, I've got to tell you, I had high ideas for the week...then Howdy went to Houston. Then I got the sniffles, then I got the coughs, now I'm onto the sneezes and things aren't looking very promising for the weekend. Yuck. Howdy's back and he's avoiding me like I have the plague. Wussy.
The only bright spot to the week was the arrival of my prize for Franklin's Snappy Comeback contest...
This poor sheep had to wait a long time in customs before it arrived here. Franklin did a lovely job packaging it for me, but I wasn't waiting to go get the camera before I opened it. You'll have to imagine it! As soon as I recover, I'm going out to find a frame! Thanks, Franklin!
I haven't knitted a stitch all week, because my hands are holding Kleenex most of the time. I did look at about a jillion houses in Houston online and I managed to e-file our income taxes. It was kind of funny, I had to access "live support chat" for some tech support and I got "Ronaldo C" who kept addressing me as "Sir" despite my female first name that was supplied to him. Guess those Turbo Tax users from Spanish-speaking countries are usually guys.
Have a great weekend! I'm going to make another cup of tea...
There's some kind of nasty cold going around blogland! Sorry to hear
you're feeling bad, rest and drink tea and make the kids and Howdy wait on
you. ;-) When the inevitable hacking cough starts, Mucinex really helps!
You are so lucky! That is a great pic!
Sorry to hear about the cold. I have to say I love filing my taxes
on-line, did mine earlier this week, so quick, so easy.
Sorry to see you are not feeling well. Hope it stops at the sniffles! That
is an extremely cool picture you got from Franklin - I just love his art.
I LOVE that! It's so amazing how something so simple can be so elegant and
yet funny at the same time. art...sigh
