This photo is for Jane's contest
This shot took me about an hour and a half to do, but it was huge fun for me! There are 57 pair of socks here that I've knitted in my lifetime. Four pairs are missing, two were gifted away, one was an acrylic pair that my daughter outgrew, and one is holding my blue ribbon at the State Fair! Two pairs belong to my daughter, nineteen to my husband and the rest are MINE!
Today is the first day it is finally chilly enough to contemplate wool socks, it's 66º here this morning. What a great day to take this picture and enjoy all my handiwork!
Man! I feel totally outclassed. That shot oughta win for creativity.
Now that's a lot of socks! And how nicely photographed too!
Wow ... what a beautiful photo of socks! I would feel very proud if they
were knitted by me!
That's exactly how it was done, pull yarn through stitches, cinch up.
Yuck. Maybe with blocking it will look okay. I think though I'm going to
try grafting, my next finger will end with 8 live stitches, so we'll see
how it goes. I can always undo the graft and do it her way (the yarn
through live stithces and cinch).
Damn, that is impressive. That's a beautiful photo and some fabulous
socks.
OK, you should win. I've got to go home and get mine out, but you should
win for artistic composition in any case!
Me again, with a question...how did you get the Sock Knitting Ring code for
the small entry? Mine takes up half the page, and the customer "service"
person was pretty snotty about telling me there was no other way for it to
be.
Thanks!!
OMG that is soo impressive!!!! I wont even pity anyone with my photos.... I
have 2 pair.. both made for me. I have never knit myself socks.... I need
to though dont I!?!!?!? Maybe I will use one of your patterns to knit my
first pair! I feel very deprived now!!!!
Ok, I'm jealous! I'm addicted to socks now but I don't seem to knit them
very fast. I want as many as you!!!
That is such a cool image! A sock color wheel. I love it.
WOW - really love your sock pic! Amazing number of socks and incredible set
up!
What a great photo! Just stumbled across your blog and have to say this has
totally inspired me to keep going with the sock knitting - maybe someday
I'll have my own impressive collection :)
That is insane!! I love it!
I am finishing mt 3rd pair - quite a ways to go yet - fantastic colour
wheel!
I'm in awe, all those socks, I have some serious knitting to do to get even
close :-)
Wow, talk about inspiration! That is amazing, Sockbug! I have only knit
two pair, but I sure am addicted. I even started a little knitalong called
Socktoberfest--I pointed some peeps over here to get some "sockspiration"
:)
Wow! You've knit a lot of socks! I love knitting socks, too, but don't
have quite as many under my belt. I've been knitting socks for about a
year and have tried a number of yarns, but I don't know how well certain
yarns wear etc. It's all an experiment at this point.
That is a great picture! I just got some new sock yarn and am going to
browse your patterns. You are definitely the Sock Queen!
I am smitten with your color wheel o' socks! I.have.ONE.pair. (I have two
pair knitted by friends, though.) I'm giggling all the way to the camera to
enter the picture in the contest. Actually, I won't even go that far...I'll
just nick the picture from my gallery. Too funny!
You are my hero! I aspire to come anywhere even remotely close to your
sock knitting prowess.
My god, that is incredible. How beautiful!
You have left me speechless...almost. What a gorgeous shot of your socks.
The number of hours you have spent on socks is mind boggling. I do love
them and love the photo. I'm a beginner sock knitter and will never match
you!
Ha! Now I know where to send people when they tell me that I'm obsessed
with knitting socks! Yowza! I'm blown away.
That is so awesome! It is equally awesome that you have been so generous
with sharing your patterns with all of us out here in cyberspace.
That is AWESOME!! Inspirational! I have only knit one pair -- so this
pictures just ROCKS.
What a gorgeous picture! I love all your socks.

said. She's winning".
I love your sock color wheel. That's a LOT of socks. Ooh, I see some in

This is an amazing photo. You must knit very fast or take really good care
of your socks. I feel like by the time I have made that many socks the
older ones would be worn out. Incredible photo. I assumed it was the
collective knitting of several people.
Wow, I am a latecomer to this, but it is just so fantastic.
