Last minute project that's taken years...

So, I've been collecting these ribbons from the fair.  Since 2002.  They've just been kind of hanging around here, shuffled from place to place with the socks.  About a month and a half ago, I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some shadow box frames when they were on sale.  (You know where this is going, don't you?)  Well, you're right, they just sat and sat and sat...until today, when I decided I was darned sure going to get these hung by the time Clan Howdy arrives this weekend.

Now I don't know diddly squat about framing stuff like this and I can't afford the big bucks to go out and *get* them framed, so I asked the nice guy at Hobby Lobby today what I should do with these things.  He told me that usually they put a piece of mat board behind the objects being framed and attach them that way.  So, I went home and got my little socks and decided on some colors for mat board to use behind my little sockies.  What do you think?

It turns out that this was the easy part...I still have to attach the socks to the mat board.  I think I will tack them, since I sure don't want to glue them!  Sewing through mat board just sounds like loads of fun doesn't it?  More news as it happens...

I want to thank everyone who's stuck a pin in my map already!  If you haven't, please do!  I am having big fun admiring it and reading all the little pin locations and checking out the photos.
