First sock of 2005!

Here they are!

This is the Parting Ways pattern from Heartstrings Fiber Arts.  It's Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport in China Blue.  This is my third pair of socks from this and I had some trouble with it splitting this time, but it could be because of the decreases in the pattern.  I don't think I'll do a lace pattern in sport weight again, it's too soft, I thought the pattern should've been in a "crisper" yarn.

I wasted hours after that looking over patterns and photos on the 'net for my next cast on.  I found lots of things that I want to attempt, but I ended back up at the scarf pattern I posted a couple of days ago.  I cast on and I am off.   It looks neat, I will post photos soon.

I finished reading Eats, Shoots & Leaves yesterday.  Cute little book.  Yes, it's a book about punctuation.  I admit it, I am a punctuation stickler.  There, it's out.  The author is funny, I will have to look for other works by her.
