See why they call me Sockbug?

I spent about an hour this morning browsing through my archives tallying up my accomplishments this year...

  • scarves - 7
  • bags - 3
  • embellished flip flops - 6 pair
  • hats - 3
  • gloves - 1 pair
  • socks - 23 pair (I still have until tomorrow to finish Howdy's, too.)

It was really interesting "flipping" back through the year's entries and following the progress of the year, knit-wise.  Excepting the socks, it really doesn't seem like I knitted very much.  Blogging has been really enjoyable for me this year.  It's been fun hearing from people all over the world and reading everyone's comments.  It has been very gratifying to see people knitting socks from patterns I created.  It has been useful and entertaining to read your opinions on stuff I'm working on.

In the new year, I'd really like to try fair isle socks again.  I'd like to spend more time away from my computer.  I'd like to finish a couple of more UFOs.  I'd like to buy more yarn that I love and less that I just want.  Do you think that by keeping my goals simple I am more likely to attain them?  LOL!

Have a great weekend!  Tomorrow is our 13th wedding anniversary.  I can hardly believe how fast it's gone by.  I have got to get these socks done!

That seems like a ton of accomplishments to me, 23 pairs of socks is amazing! That's basically 2 pairs a month, plus you knitting 14 other things and embellished 6 pairs of flip flops! Good going!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Congratulations on your 13th wedding anniversary! We just flew past our second this last fall. It seems like we were married yesterday.

Did you have success with your previous fair isle socks? I absolutely love stranded knitting, especially with patterns that are easy to memorize.

Congratulations on the anniversary! Sounds like you've done a lot of knitting to me. I don't think I could knit 12 pairs of socks in a year much less 23. And I've never attempted gloves. Happy New Year!

Happy anniversary! And congratulate yourself on being able to finish so many projects! (I am quietly envious of anyone who can find that much time to knit.) And Happy New Year, too!

Well you haven't exactly been quiet on the knitting front, have you? I think I must be related to you - I've knitted 14 pairs of socks since mid November. I'm now on the second of a pair for my dad and that'll be it for a while. I have the yarn for a jacket for ME waiting and I really do want to get it done. My other half bought me the yarn last Christmas so it's about time.

I've enjoyed reading your blog since I discovered it a couple of weeks ago and will carry on popping in regularly.

Happy New Year and congratulations for making it to 13 years :)

That's still pretty impressive. I was just trying to count my socks. I was good until about March keeping my photo album going but then I got lazy. Will have to go through my blog. After summer though, I didn't do too many socks. I've been a bit lazy. Still trying to get one more pair done before the new year starts but I have too much to go to finish it - although I do expect to work on them all evening at our friends' house tonight. It will be the most laid back New Year's Eve party with us sitting on the couch talking and the kids playing. Perfect......

Happy 2006 - I enjoyed finding your blog this year.

I loved seeing all those German mags you picked up the other day. I wish I could track more of those things down. Used to be able to and then our international magazine/news store closed down.
