Yo Ho Ho! A new free pattern!

posted Monday, 9 January 2006

Look!  I actually finished it!

Thanks to Judy over at Dragonfly Knits for the name...she comments that it's "a la Knitting Vintage Socks." LOL!  With no further delay, let me present the pattern for the "Gentleman's Matrimony Celebratory Socks!"

Don't let the name throw you, it's Howdy's Anniversary Socks all over again.  Annd, they can be knit for women as written if you use sock-weight yarn and appropriate needles.

Hope all's well out there in blogland for you all! Enjoy!

I love your socks. They're fabulous. I'm giving the Lava Flow pair a whirl and have a question about the short rows. When you say lift the wrap over the stitch before knitting together, how exactly do you do that?

I would have sent private e-mail, but cannot seem to find your email addy. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the pattern! The "vintage" name gave me a chuckle. I've knit one of your sock patterns before, so I know this will be another winner. Speaking of sock patterns, have you tried the Jaywalker pattern on the Magknits site? I'm finishing up the first sock and it's really fun. Again, thanks for sharing your patterns.

Awesome name for the socks! They look super fabulous. Eventually, I'm going to knit some of your socks!
